Welcome to the Communication Research Registry

The Communication Research Registry connects individuals and families with research study opportunities at Northwestern University. To do this, the Communication Research Registry maintains a confidential database of information about individuals and families who are interested in participating in research.

Our goals are to provide individuals and families with access to research opportunities in their community and to support cutting edge research on human communication and development.

The Communication Research Registry supports research projects across labs at Northwestern University. Here are some topics that are of interest to labs involved in our registry:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Hearing Impairments
  • Aphasia
  • Speech and Language Impairments
  • Child Development
  • Cognition
  • Bilingualism

How we’re responding to COVID-19

Research groups with access to the Communication Research Registry (CRR) may contact you about opportunities for in-person studies. While CRR researchers are asked to comply with University COVID-19 guidelines, specific safety procedures may differ across research labs. If you have any concerns about participating in an in-person study, please contact our team at commresearchregistry@northwestern.edu.

Thank you so much for your continued participation and support of our research. We wish everyone great health and safety during this difficult time.

If you have any questions, please email the registry coordinator at commresearchregistry@northwestern.edu.
